Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking

Early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel and drive to the cool highland area of Kintamani, located approximately 1,200 meters above sea level. From Songan Village, you will begin a 1.5–2 hour trek to the summit of Mount Batur (1,717 meters).

Upon reaching the top, enjoy a spectacular sunrise over Bali’s volcanic landscape, with stunning red and golden colors illuminating the sky. From the summit, you can walk along the crater rim and observe the volcanic crater from the last eruption in 2000. Mount Batur is an active volcano, making this trek both exciting and educational.

During the hike, you will pass through fertile volcanic soil where local farmers grow vegetables such as paprika, tomatoes, chili peppers, onions, cabbage, and potatoes along the slopes of Mount Batur.

At the summit, you will see natural steam vents emerging from the volcanic rocks. These hot vents are traditionally used to cook eggs or bananas, which take about 15 minutes to cook naturally. While enjoying the sunrise, you will be served a traditional breakfast, along with freshly prepared coffee or tea, overlooking the beautiful eastern part of Mount Batur.

After breakfast, descend through the volcanic landscape to the black lava fields, formed by the first and second eruptions of Mount Batur. The trek then concludes with a comfortable return to your hotel.

On the way back, you may choose to stop at a Kopi Luwak Coffee Plantation or visit the famous Tegallalang Rice Terrace for additional sightseeing.

CHILDREN TERM AND CONDITION

• Children under 7 years old are not allowed to join this program.
  Exception applies only to tours with easy and flat tracks.
  Please contact our reservation team before booking to confirm which routes are suitable for children.

• Children aged 7–11 years old are considered children.

• Guests aged 12 years old and above are considered adults.

• Children aged 7–11 years old will be charged 50% of the adult price and must be accompanied by a parent (mother or father) during the trip.

• If 1 child and 1 parent join the tour, the child will be charged as an adult, as the minimum booking requirement is 2 persons.

• Children Net Price:
  50% of the published adult rate minus an additional 20% discount.

AGE RESTRICTION AND HEALTH CONDITION.

• Children under 7 years old are not allowed to join the program.
• Person with age over than 65 years or having health problem, high blood pressure, epilepsy, phobia, etc. are not recommended for doing hiking.
